Florida drug possession charges come after backpack emptied

A kindergartener is in the custody of his mother after his father was arrested recently in Florida, after allegedly giving his child drugs to carry. The father is accused of drug possession crimes, including possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He was arrested on May 22.

Florida Gator faces drug possession after deferral violation

Florida Gator fans may be familiar with defensive tackle Leon Orr. He was responsible for 10 tackles and one sack during the 2011 football season. Unfortunately, he was also the subject of an arrest for drug possession in early 2012.

Prescription drug sales: Feds say they broke up Florida theft ring

The U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida has claimed that a Florida-based crime ring has been uncovered. Those arrested are accused of stealing at least $80 million in prescription drugs. Accusations have also been made that the ring attempted to distribute the stolen property through illegal prescription drug sales. An 18-count indictment was returned in Miami against 11 individuals.

Actor faces drug possession charges in Port St. Lucie

Florida police say they served a search warrant on the home of actor Matthew Underwood recently in Port St. Lucie. As a result of the search, the actor was arrested on drug possession charges. Another person in the home was also arrested at the time the warrant was served.

Drug trafficking: Authorities claim federal grand jury worker tipped off husband

A Hollywood, Florida woman has been arrested and charged with several federal crimes. These include assisting a purported drug trafficking ring and obstructing justice. The woman is accused of using confidential information gained through her employment to provide help to her husband and his associates in a drug trafficking operation.
