Two Florida residents have been arrested on drug charges. The man and woman, who come from Hendry County and Lee County, were arrested in Charlotte County on a recent Sunday morning. Law enforcement personnel reportedly observed the vehicle being operated in an erratic manner and stopped the car. The occupants were subsequently arrested them for drug possession, drug sales and other charges.
A Florida woman was recently arrested and accused of being in possession of a stolen car. The 24-year-old woman was stopped on a recent Tuesday in an area of Bradford County that is commonly referred to as Speedville. Allegedly, authorities pulled the woman over for not using her seatbelt, but she was later arrested on drug sales, car theft and other allegations.
Over $250,000 worth of marijuana plants were involved in a recent burglary arrest, which landed four men behind bars. The South Florida incident involved three alleged burglars, who police claim were trying to steal the pot plants. A fourth man, who was the alleged tenant of the Plant City grow house, was also arrested. The tenant must now face charges relating to drug trafficking in court.
Police say they have confiscated marijuana plants valued at $600,000 from a home in Palm Bay. According to authorities, the pot plants were anywhere from 6 to 8 feet in height and yielded what police are calling high-quality marijuana that sells for approximately $4,000 a pound. Two men who were allegedly cultivating the plants were arrested on charges of drug possession and drug paraphernalia possession.
